Do I have to have lacrosse playing experience?

No. Previous playing experience is not required.  The Alpine Eagles expert coaching staff will teach you everything you need to be successful playing the game of lacrosse.

What do the different divisions represent?

Division 1 is usually for older and/or more experienced lacrosse players in grade 7 and 8.  Division 3 is for younger players in 5th and 6th grade.  Depending on how many players the team has, there may be enough to fill both divisions.  Depending on the player, a younger 5th and 6th grade player can play on the Division 1 team.  We have had many successful younger players on the D1 team.  If you have any questions on this matter, you can contact us with your questions.

What equipment do I need to play lacrosse?

A helmet, mouth guard, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves and cleats are required to play.  Soccer or football cleats are acceptable, no baseball cleats or metal spikes. For further information go to the Team Info page of this website.

Do I have to attend school in Alpine?

No.  Unlike many lacrosse clubs, there is no requirement to attend school in Alpine.  We have players from several local schools who play for the Alpine Eagles. All players are welcome.

Are there tryouts?

No.  We believe every kid deserves the opportunity to experience lacrosse.

When/where are practices and games?

Practices will start at the beginning of February and continues to the beginning of June. Practices will be at Joan MacQueen Middle School in Alpine.  Games are played at various fields in San Diego County, home games are played at JMMS and are usually weekdays after school or Saturdays with an occasional Sunday game.
