Lacrosse is undeniably a contact sport and it requires specific protective equipment to ensure the player's safety. Having the right equipment that both fits and functions properly is imperative to the safe enjoyment of the sport. Each player that participates is required to wear all the following equipment (see links below to purchase gear):  

• Lacrosse Helmet
• Lacrosse stick
• Mouthpiece (recommended to attach to the helmet face mask)
• Lacrosse Gloves
• Lacrosse Elbow Guards
• Lacrosse Shoulder Pads
• Athletic Supporter with Hard Cup (compression shorts with cup pocket are comfortable)
• Cleats. Lacrosse, soccer or football cleats work well. (No baseball cleats.)

Most sporting goods store will be able to help you with sizing, package deals and starter packages. 

LAX starter packages start around $100 and can go up from there depending on the level of the gear.
